Owner Young Kim has practiced TKD for 45 years and established Kukkiwon Taekwondo Academy in 2000. He celebrated many accomplishments on his journey to academy ownership, including his master’s in education and being the Minnesota AAU president. Young was motivated to start a competitive TKD academy where he could support a team of passionate martial artists. As he continues to create a successful legacy, he strives to uplift his students further and find them in the Olympics one day.

For kids aged 5-8, our program introduces the basics of TKD in a fun and supportive environment. Focusing on building coordination, confidence, and respect. As students progress into the Juniors program, designed for ages 9-18, they delve deeper into the discipline. Learning advanced techniques, sparring, and developing resilience to navigate the challenges of adolescence. For adults aged 18 and up, our program provides a dynamic experience that emphasizes practical self-defense, fitness, and stress relief. Helping participants improve their physical and mental well-being. No matter the age group, our TKD program is designed to empower students to excel both on and off the mat. All while fostering a lifelong love of martial arts.
